Our local thrift stores are an endless supply of great items. Over the holiday break I found a 10# bag of shells for $4. Our parent volunteer grabbed the googly eyes and glue guns to encourage students to create locker creatures. But students soon wanted plastic bottle caps, jewelry cording, and other assorted recycled materials. I love this time of year because students are feeling more confident about trying their own ideas.
