What's a cd?

Scrounging around school I've found colleagues eager to give stuff to the makerspace. Today I used several recycled CD's for students to decorate with Sharpies on the data side and glue and glitter (also found in abundance) to decorate the commercial logo side. You just have to grit your teeth and give kids the freedom to make a mess sometimes! HINT: I put a plastic table cloth on the floor for a drying space. Old paintbrushes help kids paint the glue for more targeted glitter application. We kept a large salad bowl with the glitter for collecting the leftovers so we could continue reusing the paper plates as workspaces.
