With leftover jewelry cord from our holiday gift station, I pulled out our collection of assorted beads. Other supplies include elastic cording, key rings, yarn (for making tassels), and fishing line. I printed some internet photos of beaded key chains. Students choosing to make jewelry had to work on their own with minimal help. Inspirational websites include Spruce Crafts, This site had many projects to choose from, including a classic gecko pattern. Made In a Day had a cute tassle keychain, and Beadie Critters has printable patterns for all kinds of bead animal, people, and shapes. TIP: A paper plate makes the perfect self-contained workspace. Having a parent volunteer helped stress levels for all of us!
