Pinterest is by turns inspiring and infuriating. I had a dogwood at my house that was out-of-control and I turned to Pinterest to see what people were making out of wood. I already have wood burners for the students to use and with a hole and jewelry cording this was by far the most popular of the gift-making projects. We tried to spray varnish some of them with mixed results. CAUTION: leave some space below the edge for drilling the hole and have students draw in pencil before using the wood burner.
