A friend Pinned this craft for me, and several photos popped up on a quick Google Search. Our favorite came from Momma In the Deep under her Dollar Tree crafts. While I had some plastic snowflake ornaments, we have three snowflake shapes for our Ellison die cut machine. Several students took turns punching out craft foam snowflakes. The cheerful colors made for much more creative works. We used wax coated paper plate bases and ribbon or garland for a hanger. Teachers donated old ornaments, garland, tree skirts, and pine cones for embellishment. Craft glue is more plentiful in our makerspace, but low temp hot glue would cure faster.
