This project was inspired by Pinterest. I found a set of simple instructions at Pikadilly Charm. We have brown paper bags on hand most of the time, and the little leaves are construction paper cut with our old Ellison machine and XL dies. White glue was easier to work with than glue sticks because of the odd shapes of the branches. A couple of students used tape or rubber bands to hold the trunk in a tight spiral until the paper gave up. Most trees are successful after some time and effort.
