This idea may have come through a Youtube channel or a kid's television program. The template is freely available online from Kamibox. (The instructions are not very helpful. Building one ahead of time helped me guide students.) I am hooked on this idea for any makerspace. It has moving parts, it's cheap, and students have to have concentration and moxy to complete it. A quick Google search yielded pages of paper automatons to look at for inspiration. We are still constructing and troubleshooting. HINT: Plan at least 60 minutes (at once or spread out).
