Geodesic dome, miniature

The newspaper geodesic domes require several hours of preparation to have enough tubes for all the groups. As we ran out of materials to invite new students into the makerspace, I wondered if we could learn the same building concepts from toothpicks. After experimenting with rubber cement and playdoh to connect the toothpicks, I think an air-dry clay would work best. Most students chose to bend toothpicks in half for the triangle parts. This is more manageable for a 30 minute time-frame or for students who prefer to work alone.
