Ribbons and beads

I had pinned these ribbon tree ornaments on Pinterest last year, but when I tried to follow the link to the instructions it was a dead end. Using Google Images, I found several photos, but most websites were cluttered with other crafts. I decided the pictures were explanatory enough, so I printed "inspiration" pages with photos only. With two metal rulers of different lengths, we set up a workstation for cutting 15 inch doubled thread and 18 inch ribbons. We used pony beads between each fold of the ribbon and large sequins on the bottom and top to hold the knots in place. Michael's had a sale on holiday ribbon making this almost affordable. Many students learned how to knot thread and how to pull it out to start over.
