Paper circuits and homemade cards

After spending time with Snap Circuits, I thought a paper circuit project would help reinforce the elements of electricity. Make: had a great page with a PDF template download. I also found instructional and inspirational videos on Youtube. My favorite is here. My shopping list proved a bit more challenging. Three visits in my local area were fruitless, so I had to go to the box store corner of the next town. Home Depot had aluminum tape, but no copper. This might be a cheaper option, but I'm pretty sure aluminum wiring is no longer allowed in homes, so I decided to keep looking for copper. Michael's had two rolls of copper tape. The employees were surprised I found it (it was in the beading aisles). I already had fancy scrapbook paper and LED lightbulbs from last year. Some coin cell 3V batteries and scotch tape and we were in business.
