A visit to the The Cube Discovery Science Center in Anaheim, CA inspired me to find this project. It had an art room with small projects including a paper toy station. My husband asked if I had heard of a zoetrope. So of course, I asked Google to find me one. Even though the plans from CutOutFoldUp include picture templates, it is a time-intensive project (at least 50 minutes). We modified the plan by using black tagboard on the outside rather than painting. Instead of a can, we used an old CD and then used a finger or marker for the spoke.
